I am writing to thank you and your staff at St. Croix Industries for the support and understanding that you lend to Jamie on a day to day basis. 

When we moved from Minneapolis to New Richmond 3 years ago, my biggest concern was Jamie leaving her job and perhaps not being able to find adequate supported employment situation that would work for her.

Despite Jamie’s communication difficulties and behavioral issues, you and your staff took interest in all of the positive attributes that she has to offer.  Jamie loves to work and feel a part of a bigger process.  You recognized that in her and have laid out the expectations for her to help her achieve.  Jamie is now a healthy, content adult who takes going to work every day very seriously.  Thank you for the faith you have in her abilities, and for the attitude that says “we’ll work through this” when difficulties arise.  Jamie’s life is better because you and your staff are a part of it.  The work and programming that St. Croix Industries provides makes Jamie a participating member of her community who is valued and appreciated.

Dear St. Croix Industries,

With our daughter having special needs, we wondered what would be a good job for her after she graduated from high school.

With the help of our school professional and our social worker, St. Croix Industries was a starting point for our daughter to try.  We started out slow and gradually added hours and then more days to her schedule.  She loves going to work, having a set schedule, learning new job skills, having co-workers to socialize with, and of course, making her own money so that she can go shopping on the weekends.

St. Croix Industries provides so many of the needs that are needed for our daughter to have a successful work week.
    They provide transportation with very qualified van drivers.
    They provide very skilled and educated work counselors to help her with all her vocational and social needs at work.
    They provide a change of jobs to help her work on various skills.
    They have very skilled staff that are all very attentive to any changes that they might see. -

Everyone seems to work together for the well being of the client.  They are very professional on all levels of care and expectations of each individual. 

We are proud to have our daughter work and be a part of St. Croix Industries Extended Opportunities.

Dear St. Croix Industries,

Our son, Kevin Knott, went through the River Falls Public School System, and we were blessed that they had a Special Needs Program.  When he turned 21, we needed to find another outlet.  We had him on the St. Croix Industries waiting list.  We had Kevin at home and after having had him in a routine structured program we were watching him regress.  When word came Kevin had a place in St. Croix Industries we were delighted.  The staff worked hard to attend to Kevin’s needs and Kevin responded to the structure once again.  Those were good years.  When Kevin turned 27 years old we made the decision for a group home placement.  Not an easy decision, I can assure you.  St. Croix Industries was Kevin’s safety and comfort zone.  The group home was new to him, and mom and dad not there at the beginning and end of the day.  St. Croix Industries and staff were his security and mainstay each day with a routine and structured safety net.  Kevin continued to visit us 3 times a week and found his niche at the group home.  He enjoyed his new friends at St. Croix Industries and the group home.  After several years, he became ill of ease with the structure at St. Croix Industries Work Services Program.  So, he went to the Day Services Program and has adjusted to a more casual routine. 

We feel very blessed to live in St. Croix County and have St. Croix Industries in our son’s life.  The interaction and opportunity that St. Croix Industries offers their various clients is a blessing to many parents, guardians, and friends of special needs adults.  Communication and staff (meetings) help to have parents/guardians, group home staff and St. Croix Industries’ staff all working together for the growth and happiness of each client.  We couldn’t ask for more!  We feel secure, and if there are other challenges ahead in our son’s life, St. Croix Industries will be there to work with us and help us in anyway they can!

We have been using St. Croix Industries for all our tote cleaning needs for several years. In our business, we supply pharmaceuticals to hospitals and drug stores in the 5 state area. Our products are packed and shipped in plastic totes and delivered by courier service to their destination.
