DAY SERVICES PROGRAM
The goal of the Day Services Program is to provide structured and
unstructured programming to developmentally disabled adults with a range of
ages, abilities and needs. The program provides meaningful
rehabilitation/habilitation services to increase each person's quality of life
and to develop, maintain and/or maximize the individual's independent
functioning.
The goal of the program is accomplished through individual and/or group
experiences in such areas as:
- Socialization
- Community awareness
- Leisure/recreation
- Functional life skills
- Prevocational skills

Day Services has a homey, inviting atmosphere for its clients and is able to
individualize services to the person's needs. Individuals participate in
birthday celebrations, weekly bowling groups, walk groups, craft groups, bingo,
table games, computer skills, exercise groups and a variety of community
outings.
Persons may participate on a full-time basis or the Day Services Program may
be used to complement the Work Services or Supportive Employment Program.
