JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES
The goal of the Job Placement Services is to assist individuals with
disabilities to obtain and maintain community employment at their highest level
of functioning. This process begins with a Supported Employment Assessment where
an individual's strengths and areas of need are assessed through a series of
work trials and observations. The information gained from the assessment is
utilized to match the individual's abilities, interest and work restrictions to
specific jobs within the community. Individuals are provided ongoing support
such as job coaching, transportation, assistive technology, workplace
accommodations, and natural supports which allows them to be as independent as
possible within the workplace.

Individuals referred for supported employment are placed into full-time or
part-time community jobs as determined by their employment objectives. These
individual goals and objectives are developed to ensure his/her needs are
addressed at the jobsite as well as ensuring the job is matched to the interests
of the individual. Throughout the job development process, direct contacts are
made with employers to match qualified individuals with jobs that reflect their
interests with abilities. Ongoing support from the Supported Employment Program
are based on the individual's needs and employment plan.
